Sarah Hi from olde England! Greetings on our election day. It is raining gently and everything is as green as you could wish for your lovely paintings. Goodness, you are productive. I've counted five blogs so far. I think I might take up painting and Penny likewise. I like the virtual scheme on your Landscape Painting blog. Hope all are well as we are here (and in Mexico City, although Tom has been in Nicaragua and Costa Rica this last fortnight, interviewing the latter's new president Mrs Chinchilla. Keep busy with the brushes and oils. x Martin

Hi Martin - thanks for the comment. What an exciting day you have over there - I will have to listen to the BBC news in about 15 minutes to discover the latest. It and the Guardian online are my main sources of info from the UK. Speaking of which, when is the next "best view" going to be available? love to Penny. xxs

Hi there S! Well, the drama continues. Our voting system let the Lib Dems down as ever, but they are now the 'kingmakers'. Actually everyone's been very civilised today, so maybe the New Politics really is dawning. A Con-LibDem coaltion looks possible.

Have you seen the British Camp/Malvern Hills best view? It went up yesterday, Election Day. Much poetry reciting and even a butterfly...
