Hooray! How lovely to have a painting entitled for me (unless I am assuming too much) I shall rush to show P which is just making our tea (roast beef of Olde Englande you will be glad to hear...) x and to all family M
Thanks Krista - this is a very old painting, but when Martin - of martinsmoths.blogspot.com - posted a photo of a teasel, I just had to show it to him. I didn't know they were called "teasels" - but I adore them. They seem almost prehistoric, peeking out from among the Queen Anne's Lace and Mallow along the side of the road near the farm.

This one is really cool! I love teasel. My Grandma used to have some little animal figures she made out of teasel heads, raccoons, I believe.
